When you join ELES you will be assigned a number to be printed in the upper right corner of your photobacks so that you can be tracked if your address labels fall off during a show. Every model must be registered before entering a show, that is NO unregistered models will be permitted to enter. Registration number must be written on back of photo.

To register a model, simply send in the following information by e-mail or snail mail:

Model’s Name,
Age /Date foaled/Adult/foal/Yearling etc
Color and markings
Breed
Gender
Make/Mold
Finish/Customizer
Sire and Dam (optional)
Your name, address and email address.

When naming, please use prefixes or unusual names to lessen the chance of duplication.
If you chose a name already taken, you will be asked to rename that model.
No more than 25 characters in a name please.

SEX DESIGNATIONS

When choosing a sex for your model, please note that 99% of male mules/hinnies are gelded due to hormone linked behavioral problems. As with horses, geldings are easier to handle and less prone to violence against humans and other animals. It has happened on rare occasions that mules have been able to reproduce, but fertile mules and hinnies are strongly discouraged in ELES and stud mules OVER the age of 1 year are not permitted either.

A male donkey is called a “Jack” if ungelded

A male mule is called a “Stud mule” if ungelded

A gelded male donkey is called a “John “ in ELES

A gelded mule/hinny is called a “John” in ELES (or “Horse Mule” in the ADMS)

A female donkey is called a “Jenny” or “Jennet”

A female mule/hinny is called a “Molly” in ELES (or “Mare Mule” in the ADMS)

A male zebra or prezwalski is called a “Stallion” if ungelded

A female zebra or prezwalski is called a “Mare”

A gelded zebra or prezwalski is called a “Gelding”

All Zonkeys use donkey terms (jack, john, jennet) with males considered the same as mules and gelded accordingly.

All Zorses use mule terms (molly, john) with males considered the same as mules and gelded accordingly.

All foals are called “Fillies” and “Colts”.
